If you have dental cover with a health fund, you may be eligible for no-gap dental check-ups, including a clean, x-rays, and fluoride treatments, twice a year – with no out-of-pocket costs! Some health funds even cover a free custom-fitted mouthguard.
For additional dental work, being a member of these health funds ensures minimal out-of-pocket expenses, and in some cases, no extra costs. Dentistry on Coolum adheres to health fund fee schedules, so you’ll never be overcharged, all while receiving top-quality care.
As a preferred provider, we offer significantly higher rebates for dental treatments compared to non-preferred providers. This means greater savings and better value for you.

Dentistry On Coolum is the only Bupa Members First Platinum Provider in Coolum Beach and Peregian Springs, and surrounds. Our Bupa patients with general dental combined with hospital cover do not pay anything out of pocket for a range of services including check-ups, cleans, fluoride treatments, mouth guards and most routine radiographs (x-rays). Our patients can expect 60-100% back on many of the dental treatments with us. However, this will depend on your level of coverage and your annual limits. Furthermore, if you have hospital and extras cover, we can treat your children with “Gap Free” dental for most procedures, leaving you with no out of pocket expenses for your children if they are under your cover with certain policies. This is up to the age of 25 years old. Also, please note that other dentists are not part of the Bupa Members First Platinum provider network and as such you may have much bigger out of pocket costs with them.

As a Medibank Members’ Choice Provider, our Medibank patients have minimal to no out of pocket costs for preventative treatments including check-ups, cleans and most routine screening X-rays. Your rebates will be significantly higher on most treatments and in addition to this, our treatment costs at Dentistry On Coolum are much lower as we partake in the capped Medibank Private fee schedule. As a Members' Choice Provider, our patients will in most cases receive either a higher rebate or a % back of your charge. These rebates, combined with the Maximum Agreed Prices we have agreed to charge will give you certainty of out of pocket expenses.

Dentistry on Coolum is proud to be a NIB First Choice Provider. Which means we offer dental services for a set lower rate. Under your nib cover you will still receive a fixed percentage back on your treatment when you visit a dentist in the nib First Choice Dental network (depending on your policy). This will result in lower out of pocket costs for you. Of course, your routine examination, cleaning, fluoride and x-rays will be at No Out Of Pocket costs.
